What you’ll do
- Create and implement high-quality sound effects, music, and audio assets for a 2D viewport Unity-based game on iOS and Android
- Lead or contribute to audio design from concept to final delivery on App Store and Play Store
- Collaborate with game designers, developers, and artists to integrate audio that enhances gameplay and aligns with the 2D game’s vision
- Implement audio using Unity’s built-in audio system or audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) to manage 2D sound effects and music, ensuring mobile optimization
- Communicate effectively with teams and apply creative problem-solving to address audio-related technical challenges
Who you are
- Proficiency in audio design tools (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Reaper)
- Experience with Unity’s audio system or audio middleware (e.g., Wwise, FMOD) for 2D game audio integration, without reliance on spatial audio
- 2D game audio integration, without reliance on spatial audio
- 4+ years of experience in sound design or music composition for Unity-based 2D games
- Portfolio demonstrating audio assets (e.g., sound effects, music) for 2D games, with at least one project delivered to App Store or Play Store
- Bonus: Knowledge of audio integration with backend services (e.g., Nakama, Satori) or similar platforms
